Profiles

    Monday, June 4, 2007, 03:57 PM CST [www.digiscrapspace.com]

Following up on that last blog post, I'm going to add and remove different parts of the profile system.

    Things I'm Thinking of Adding:

         # of Pets
         My Inspirition
         Favorite Color
         Favorite Holiday
         Favorite Designer

    Things I'm Thinking of Removing:

         Here For
         Religion
         Ethnicity
         Body Type
         Height

Remember, anything in the profile can be left empty and won't be displayed. So you never have to enter anything you don't want to. Well, you have to have a nickname, but that's not so bad. *grins*

Have an opinion? Leave me a message or post a comment. Otherwise I'll be making these changes in the next couple days.

    Upcoming Changes

    Monday, June 4, 2007, 03:40 PM CST [www.digiscrapspace.com]

Well now that I've been working at ONEsite for a few months, I have learned quite a bit about how the back end control panel works for our customers who have sites like Digiscrapspace.com. Now it's just a matter of finding time to make the changes I'd like to make to the place.

One of the first things I plan to do is redo the profile fields to be more in line with scrapbooking and crafting in general. I don't think any of us cares too much who smokes and who doesn't! But if you do leave a comment so I know to leave those things in. hehe

I'm also in the process of redo'ing the look of the site in general. I've got tons of yummy papers from my most favorite designer in the world, and plan to see how I can combine her creativity with my own.

If you do have any suggestions for things you'd like to see on this site, let me know. I know I've gotten off to a slow start with this place. But I hope to do better.

    Snow in April

Friday, April 6, 2007, 01:19 PM CST [General]

It's a blustery cold day here in OK this Friday.  Earlier this week it was in the 70s and my husband and I had finally turned on our AC unit for the first time this year. It seemed that spring had settled in to stay and the cold weather was a thing of the past. But now, he's got the heat jacked up and blowing strong.  The house is like a little sauna to keep away the cold outside.  And it's snowing, fairly heavily, outside my office window.  Nothing is sticking to the ground yet but it will soon.  Driving home this evening will not be fun!

    Digiscrapspace.com

Thursday, March 15, 2007, 02:51 PM CST [General]

It's now been two weeks since I was asked to make my own Social Networking site and decided to build one for the digiscrapping community.

I consider myself a creative person. I love making things, art, stories, websites, you name it. Anything that lets me use my imagination. While I have little experience digiscrapping myself, the concept appeals to me on so many different levels. To be able to create pages and display pictures using a virtually unlimited amount of materials is just amazing. When I was tied to the limits of strictly scrapbooking with papers and ribbons and glue... I felt let down. It was so easy to make a mistake and ruin your supplies. And the things you bought to use wouldn't necessarily be just what you wanted. But digiscrapping changed all the rules.

I'd like to thank my friend Vicki, who's infected me with her enthusiasm for digiscrapping. She is quite the talented designer these days. You'll notice I used a few of her papers and elements when designing the graphics I wanted for the current homepage for Digiscrapspace.com. Her designs are available for sale at oScraps.com, along with a number of other talented designers who have joined the oScraps team.

    A good day

Friday, March 9, 2007, 04:53 PM CST [General]

Well, well... Friday couldn't come fast enough for me this week.  There's been so much going on lately it makes my head spin.  New friends, new jobs, computer woes, family health issues... it never ends.   But I think in general this is a good Friday.

This weekend I'll spend some much needed quality time with my husband, see a movie or two, and enjoy the company of good friends.

I hope each of you gets to enjoy this weekend as well.
